ActionAid Magazine

A NEW LOOK FOR ACTIONAID'S MAGAZINE

Neo is proud to have created a fresh new look for ActionAid's supporters magazine Action, which will be relaunching this month. Our front page design for Action was recently featured in Design Week. ActionAid wanted to move towards a more contemporary and dynamic look as ActionAid Design and Print Manager, Phil Hesmondhalgh said, '‘Our supporters are very forthright people, and when we asked them what they wanted from their magazine they told us it needed to be modern and engaging, without being overly glossy and expensive. Neo were able to offer superb creativity without compromising our budget or brand as a charity.’

UK Aware – Neo Awards

NEO AWARDS GREEN BUSINESSES

Neo has announced the winners of the awards for best stands at this year’s UK Aware, the country’s leading sustainability show. Around 100 organisations committed to a greener future exhibited at the show and we were there to select the best stands as part of our ongoing sponsorship of the event. Not surprisingly the entire Neo team leapt at the opportunity to pass judgment of the great and the good. After much deliberation we awarded the Neo Design Award for Best Stand to Mule Bar for it’s professionalism, creative concept and use of brand. The UK Aware Green Halo Award went to Green Oil for creating a completely recycled and re-usable stand which included a robot made from re-claimed junk. But the outstanding stand of the show belonged to Morsbags, winner of both the Neo Experiential Stand Award and The People’s Favourite Stand Award which was voted for by visitors. We loved their stand because it was constantly busy, involved people of all ages, got people talking and gave everyone a chance to make a simple reusable bag in just 20 minutes. We will be working with all of these excellent green companies to develop and improve their brand and communications in the coming year.

CLIMATE CONTROL FOR DUMMIES

Neo has worked with Greenpeace to create their 10 Easy Steps to Cut Car Emissions: Climate Control Manual campaign, in response to demands by European car manufacturers to delay legislation on carbon emissions targets until 2015. The campaign demonstrated ways that manufacturers could meet the original targets and someone must have been listening, as MEPs have since voted to reject these demands.
